How it began
Welcoming others, treating them with love, restoring dignity and hope.
Launched in early 2025 in Ji-Paraná (RO), Olhar de Amor's mission is to reduce the waiting list for eye treatments and surgeries, with dignified access to eye care. The charism is the same as always: to welcome others, treat them with love and restore dignity and hope to every patient.

The problem and the goal
Cataracts slowly fade the world away.
Left untreated, they can lead to total loss of sight. Olhar de Amor focuses on cataract surgeries and their complementary exams, for people who often wait years in the SUS (Brazil's public health system) queue.
Impact
Quality care close to home.
For the region, the program is a milestone: specialized medical and multidisciplinary teams, mobile units with technology that ensures safety in every procedure, and a welcome that calls every patient by name. The results show in the eyes of those who can recognize faces again and regain their independence.
